Vertical extended double zepp antenna for 2 metres & more.

If you want an outstanding antenna for both the 2 meter and 6 meter amateur radio bands, you can't go wrong with this "vertical extended double zepp antenna" from Australian radio operator Peter Parker (VK3YE).

The antenna is based on a "classic" antenna dating back to the Zeppelin airship days of the 1920s-1930s.  Peter modifies the zepp idea and brings it into the modern day with a simple, effective antenna covering the 2 meter and 6 meter bands.

The antenna is easy to make and deploy.  This design is suitable for both home station and field use for SOTA/POTA operations.

Here are some comments from Peter (VK3YE):

A very simple but very good omnidirectional vertical antenna for VHF FM simplex and repeaters. But that's not all. What is it? It's a extended double zepp antenna for 2m. And it does 6m as well. Watch to find out how easy one is to build. PS: If you liked this video please consider supporting Amateur Radio VK3YE by: (then if you buy something I'll get a small commission at no cost to you)
