How to build and tune a linked dipole antenna
Another way to build a multiband HF antenna is to make what is called a "linked dipole antenna"- a fairly simple project using a single feed line connected to joined lengths of wire. In this video, Charlie (NJ7V) takes us step-by-step through the design, construction, and testing of this basic HF dipole antenna. All you have to do is connect/disconnect pieces of wire to use the band of your choice. In this case, Charlie builds an antenna covering the 20m, 30m, and 40 meter bands. Most of the materials for this simple project can be obtained locally or from online sources.
