Building a multi-band dipole
One of the easiest and least expensive dipole antennas available is the "classic" fan dipole. If you're like Bob (KK4IV) in this video, most of the parts can be found in your "junk box" or at the nearest hardware store or building supply outlet. In this instance, Bob designed, built, and tested a multi-ban fan dipole covering the 40, 20, 17, and 10 meter amateur radio bands. No antenna "tuner" is needed. This antenna uses parallel dipoles cut for each band and a single length of coaxial cable for a feed line. The antenna is a simple project which delivers excellent results.
