Super simple vertical for the higher HF bands.

How would you like to build a simple vertical antenna that covers 6 bands and requires no variable capacitors for tuning? In this video, Peter Parker (VK3YE) uses readily available parts to build what he calls a "super simple vertical antenna" covering 18, 21, 24, and 28 MHz Amateur Radio Bands. The antenna is ideal for rapid deployment for your next SOTA/POTA expedition.  The antenna is equally at home where space may be at a premium.  The antenna works very well and will provide hours of DX enjoyment. Ham Radio: Simple Multi-Band Vertical Antenna

There's nothing like a "Classic" HF antenna to explore the Amateur Radio Bands. In this video, Tim (G5TM) modifies the decades-old W3EDP HF antenna to produce a simple, effective design suitable for both home station use and "field operations." All you need is a 4:1 Unun, some coaxial feed line, an optional "tuner", 84-feet (25.603 meters) of speaker wire, and a telescoping fiberglass mast.  If you can't see the video, please insert this title URL into your browser search box:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfd5gynadqo Thanks for joining us today. Aloha es 73 de Russ (KH6JRM). Here are some comments from Tim (G5TM): The W3EDP design is a well regarded antenna. So what about it’s mini (1/4 size) version? Invisible HF Vertical Ham Radio Antenna-13 ft.

Image
If you need a "stealthy" multiband HF antenna for your small urban lot, then this 5-band antenna described by Peter Waters (G3OJV) is for you. According to Peter, this simple antenna can be made from locally available materials and stands only 13 ft (3.96 m) tall.  The antenna is nearly "invisible" and fits comfortably on a small lot or in a modest garden. If you can't see the video, please insert this title URL into your browser search box:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P19jLRmP968. Thanks for joining us today. Aloha es 73 de Russ (KH6JRM). Here are some comments from Peter (G3OJV): This ham radio "nearly Invisible" antenna may be the way of getting on five HF bands, whilst presenting a very low profile. It is easy to disguise, simple to make and cheap to build.
