W3DZZ revisited: Compact all-band antenna for everyone.

If you need a compact, lightweight multi-band antenna for both field and home station use, please consider this modified W3DZZ design from Linas (LY2H).

The antenna can be made from locally available materials and is small enough to fit in your vehicle.

Despite some critical tuning issues, the antenna is worth making, especially if you're considering portable operations such as POTA'SOTA.

Here are some comments from Linas (LY2H):

The W3DZZ antenna used to be the most popular multi-band dipole antenna for almost every Ham Radio operator. It is still a very good compact antenna, especially based on small size , low-loss toroid traps. In this video I share my experience of testing this antenna with SOTABEAMS traps and my Icom IC-705 transceiver with the Elecraft T1 automatic antenna tuner. My previous video on W3DZZ and the Icom IC-7300:    • Got your licence, no equipment? How about ...   SOTABEAMS items are here (I have no affiliation with this company): https://www.sotabeams.co.uk Please leave your comments in the comments section.
