If you need more performance on the higher HF bands (20m-10m), please try this EFZZ (end fed zig zag) antenna from Peter Parker (VK3YE).
Peter says this end fed variant works well and apparently gives a bit of gain.
The antenna is easy make and uses less space than a regular end fed antenna.

Here are some comments from Peter (VK3YE):
End-fed wires are popular for the HF bands but amateurs don't always get the most benefit from them. Especially in the 14 - 28 MHz range. Here I try an antenna that I call an End Fed Zig Zag (EFZZ) on 21 MHz WSPR across the Pacific Ocean between Australia and North America.

144 MHz variant: Change the orientation and get one that's horizontally polarised. You can also feed it in the middle of one of the elements. See https://www.qsl.net/dk7zb/zigzag/zz-E...

If you want to experiment with unconventional antenna designs, please consider adapting US military HF antennas. These antennas are easy to build and perform well on several amateur radio bands. In this video, Walt (K4OGO) builds a Terminated End Fed V Antenna (TEFV). The antenna is broad banded, requires no antenna "tuner", and covers frequencies from 1.8 to 30 MHz. Here's another way to operate your ham radio station without nosy neighbors complaining about the visual impact of your current antenna system. In this video, Danny (KD5W) shows us how to use your property fence as super stealth HF antenna. You can find most of your materials at the nearest hardware or building supply outlet. Many operators call this project a "Fencetenna"--something you may wish to use if no other antenna design is available. If you want a low-cost, single band DX antenna for the 10 meter Amateur Radio band, please consider this T2LT (terminated folded dipole) design from Peter Waters (G3OJV). You can make this HF antenna from locally available materials. The T2LT is an excellent HF antenna for both portable and home station use. Here are some comments from Peter (G3OJV): If you are looking for a low cost single band DX Antenna, the T2LT is worth considering. The chances are that you may already have everything you need to build one. It's also ideal for portable operation.
