Gain with one wire: Trying an End Fed ZigZag

Do you want a bit more gain from your end-fed wire antenna?

If you do, then this end-fed zigzag wire antenna is for you.

In this video, Peter Parker (VK3YE) builds 21 MHz (15 Meter Band) zigzag antenna to see if his signal is enhanced throughout the Pacific and North America.

His results are positive and leaves room for more experimentation.

The antenna is easy to build and deploy.

Here are some comments from Peter (VK3YE):

End-fed wires are popular for the HF bands but amateurs don't always get the most benefit from them. Especially in the 14 - 28 MHz range. Here I try an antenna that I call an End Fed Zig Zag (EFZZ) on 21 MHz WSPR across the Pacific Ocean between Australia and North America.
