Ham Radio Attic Antenna for Emergency Communications
As I compose this post, my home state of Hawaii is recovering from Hurricane Lala, which caused considerable damage to the state's infrastructure, including internet connectivity. That's why this post is a bit late as I sift through the debris of the storm. With that in mind, this video from Bob (KD4BMG-The HOA Ham) seem appropriate. In this program, Bob shows us how to set up and operated an attic antenna for emergency communications on the 20 meter Amateur Radio Band. If you can't see the video, please insert this title URL into your browser search box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N1Ri90LVcc Thanks for joining us today. Russ (KH6JRM/AL0HA). Here are some comments from Bob: I use the CHA Multi Configuration Coil and two SS58 Whips in my small attic to create a 20 Meter attic antenna for use during hurricane season, and to create a stealth HOA Antenna.
