How to build a Halo Antenna for the 2 meter band
How would you like to build a "classic" 2 meter band antenna that is worth considering after more than 40 years of use by radio amateurs? In this video, Chuck (KK6USY) shows us his "Halo Antenna", which provides an omni directional, horizontally polarized signal for the 2 meter Amateur Radio band. This antenna was once popular years ago for mobile operations. The antenna also proved useful for radio amateurs confined to deed-restricted homes and apartments. The Halo is lightweight and is easily portable for POTA/SOTA events.
