How to build a vertical wire antenna: step-by-step
If you need a simple, effective DX antenna for portable or home station use, please check out this basic "Rybakov" vertical antenna from Walt (K4OGO). This project is one of several antenna ideas contained in Walt's book "Salty Walt's Portable Antenna Handbook." Walt take us step-by-step through the design, building, testing, and use of this basic antenna. The antenna is easy to deploy and can be made from locally available materials.
