How-to: The off center fed L-dipole antenna

Image
Here's another excellent antenna idea for your next "field" operation--the vertical L-Dipole Antenna. In this video, Michael Martens (KB9VBR) shows us how to build a simple, multiband L-Dipole with parts you may already have in your "junk box." You can also order parts from several online vendors. If you build this antenna for the 80 meter Amateur Radio Band, it will be resonant on 80,40, 20, 10, and 6 meter bands.  The antenna used in this project is a bit simpler, focusing on portable operations only. Here are some comments from Michael (KB9VBR): I answer the question: can you elevate the KJ6ER Challenger Antenna? Today I demonstrate the Off Center Fed L-Dipole Antenna. Could this be the next big thing? Concept based on the KJ6ER Challenger antenna: https://kj6er.net/ LDG...
