Transform your 2m Antenna with a "Tiger Tail."

You can boost the performance of your 2 meter band HT by adding what Paul (W2PAK) calls a "Tiger Tail" counterpoise to your HT antenna connection.

This easily made addition will change the low gain monopole antenna to dipole antenna, giving you more gain and signal strength.

Paul shows you how to build this simple enhancement for your HT.  You may already have the components in your "junk box."
