Build your own Roll Up Slim Jim Antenna for 2 Meters

 

Thanks to Mike (K8MRD) for this simple, inexpensive 2 meter antenna that can be used at your home station and in the field.

According to Mike, all you need are some connectors, a suitable length of 450-ohm ladder line, and a few simple tools to make this "Slim Jim" VHF antenna.

The antenna can be rolled up and stored easily in your vehicle or on the shelf in your ham shack.

This is a really easy, fun antenna to build. If you are new to Amateur Radio, or just want an easy to deploy 2 Meter antenna for out in the field, this is a great project.
