Building a slinky vertical dipole antenna for HF Ham Radio

Radio amateurs can use almost anything made of metal for an HF antenna.

In this video, Walt (K4OGO) uses two metal slinky toys to build an inexpensive and fun-to-use antenna for portable operations.

Walt takes us through the entire construction process and ends up with a remarkably effective vertical antenna that requires no counterpoise or ground radial system.
