Here's a simple, inexpensive way to boost the performance of your HT.

According to Gaston (KT1RUN), a basic "jungle antenna" will add some "punch" to your portable radio.  The antenna is a basic 1/4 wavelength ground plane antenna made from locally available materials.

The jungle antenna is perfect for POTA/SOTA operations or for emergency communications from your home station.
