Wow that's a tall vertical antenna

HF vertical antennas are a lot of fun to build and use.  For some of the HF amateur radio bands, these verticals can be a bit tall and cumbersome.

In this video, Walt (K4OGO) makes a 20 meter vertical dipole using a DX Commander Signature 12 pole.  According to Walt, this vertical performs quite well as a beach antenna secured to his vehicle.

When you're done with the vertical dipole, you can easily convert the pole into a 40 meter 1/4 wave vertical.
